Programs Offered:

Child Abuse Prevention Month Workshop Series
Description: April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. In order to educate our community on this important topic, the Berkshire Violence Prevention Center has planned a series of workshops for parents. Internet Safety: for parents and their kids (ages 8-12), this workshop will focus on tools and tricks to keep kids safe on the internet. Positive Parenting Techniques: For parents of young children, this workshop will teach parents how to build healthy, trusting relationships with their children, minimizing the opportunity for abuse from adult predators. Parenting Against Sexual Assault: For parents of teens and pre-teens, this workshop will explore ways to teach boys and girls about sexuality to minimize the risk of sexual assault. All three workshops will be held at the Adams Youth Center.
