- Spring Sports - Lacrosse
- Description: You’ll notice significant changes in our spring offerings this year. These changes reflect our emphasis on providing access to a wide range of season-appropriate sports activities.
We’re doing this because sports medicine research strongly suggests a correlation between early sports specialization and sports-related injuries in young people. We encourage families to try different sports in the fall, winter, and spring.
This year, the Youth Center is proud to partner with the Williamstown Lacrosse Association to offer in-house lacrosse for boys and girls in grades 1-4. We have also created a special sports program - Kinderlympics! - for kindergarteners only.
The Youth Center is just one non-profit agency providing recreational opportunities in the Northern Berkshires. We focus on in-house team and individual sports. If a travel program better suits the needs of you and your child, we’re happy to refer you to an appropriate agency. For more information for area travel programs, as well as for sports, we don’t currently offer (such as Softball and Baseball,) please call us for referral information.
Sports
Spring Sports offered through the Youth Center include in-house lacrosse for boys and girls in grades 1-4, track and field for grades 1-6, Fun Fit Games for pre-kindergarten children, and Kinderlympics for kindergarteners only.
