Adams Cheshire Savoy
Youth Coalition
The Adams Cheshire Savoy Youth Coalition is made up of representatives from local businesses, town officials, school personnel, various non-profit youth serving organizations, parents, and, most importantly, the community youth. The Coalition's mission is to ensure that all youth in Adams, Cheshire and Savoy have the resources they need to live healthy, happy, productive lives. The Coalition works to strengthen and enhance the existing programs in the area, as well as identify gaps in services to youth. We have committed to helping our youth connect with the Five Promises. We are proud to announce that the America's Promise Alliance has just given us official recognition as an official "Promise Place" for our efforts in granting the five promises to youth.
We do our best to help make connection between families, services and agencies to ensure that the promises are met. Our online Calendar lists events and goings on in the area and our Resources Page provides information on different programs that are available to families. Our latest endeavor, The Bridging Schools and Afterschool Project, coordinated by Western Mass Out of School Time (WestMOST) Network has been working with a team from Adams-Cheshire to identify ways to increase the connections in area communities regarding youth development. Goals are to:
- Identify priorities for youth outcomes and strategies to reach those outcomes.
- Increase communication, coordination, and collaboration.
- Identify ways to increase quality of and access to afterschool and out of school time programs.
The ACS Youth Coalition is a non-profit organization with tax exempt status. All members of the community are welcomed to join us.
